You many want to try this formula: Your body weight ÷ 2 = Recommended Daily H2O Intake. For example, if Mary weighs 150 lbs. she would need to drink 75 ounces of water per day. Keep in mind other fluids do not count towards your goal include: sports drinks, coffee, tea, sodas, juice, etc. These fluids can actually have an adverse affect on the body like, causing you to become dehydrated and dilute the maximum benefits of the water consumed.

Timing is everything! Mornings are the perfect time to jumpstart your water intake goal. Our bodies tend to become dehydrated while in the resting state overnight. If your water intake goal is 100 ounces, try consuming 25 percent of the daily recommended intake in the mornings. The rest should be consumed throughout the day.
